#Summary

Students will be involved in training where they undertake a range of skill development tasks in preparation to work safely at heights.

Practical skills form a major focus of the training delivery strategy and students are provided with an opportunity to acquire and practice these skills in a working construction environment.

Students will be exposed to a variety of techniques during the 8 hour program to assist them in making informed decisions about correct choices of fall preventative control measures.

#The Nitty Gritty

#Who it suits

This training supports construction workers in the safe and effective completion of tasks at height.

This training can be applied to construction work on residential and commercial work sites.

#Delivery

Hutchies Training delivers instruction in harness procedures, travel restraint and fall arrest to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure safe working at heights.

This one day course is delivered face-to-face and ensures you receive a combination of practical and theoretical training delivery. It provides study and task guides as well as practical assessment.

#Assessments

At the end of the course, you will undertake both practical and theoretical assessment of your knowledge about working safely at heights.

Students are assessed by trainers with skills and experience relevant to the training delivered. Our assessment processes meet the National Assessment Principles and we provide equipment, facilities, and training materials to create a learning environment that help our students succeed.

#Requirements

To enrol for a Hutchies Training Course, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Aged 15 years or older
  • No longer at school
  • Living or working in Queensland
  • An Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen
